Modular Kitchen Cost in Hyderabad (2026): Complete Price Guide

18 September 2026 · 7 min read · By Livvouge Design Team

Modern modular kitchen with marble countertop and bar stools

A modular kitchen is usually the single biggest line item in a home interior budget — and the one people ask about most. Here is a straightforward breakdown of what a modular kitchen costs in Hyderabad in 2026, what changes the price, and how to get the best value.

Modular kitchen price by layout

These are typical starting ranges for a complete kitchen with base units, wall units, a tall unit and standard accessories:

LayoutLaminate finishAcrylic / PU finish
Straight (8–10 ft)₹1.2 – 1.8 L₹1.8 – 2.8 L
L-shaped₹1.6 – 2.5 L₹2.5 – 3.8 L
Parallel₹1.9 – 2.8 L₹2.8 – 4 L
U-shaped₹2.2 – 3.2 L₹3.2 – 4.8 L
Island₹3.5 L+₹5 L+

Ranges are indicative and exclude appliances. Your exact price depends on size and specifications.

What decides the cost of a modular kitchen?

1. Carcass material

The carcass is the box behind the shutters. BWP plywood is the most water-resistant and best for the sink unit. HDHMR is dense, moisture-resistant and around 10–20% cheaper. MDF/particle board is the cheapest but not ideal near water. See our plywood vs MDF vs HDHMR guide.

2. Shutter finish

Laminate is the most durable and budget-friendly. Acrylic gives a high-gloss mirror finish. PU paint gives a seamless, premium look but costs the most and needs careful use. Glass and aluminium profile shutters work well for overhead display units.

3. Hardware and accessories

Soft-close hinges, tandem drawers, corner carousels, pull-out pantries and lift-up mechanisms make a huge difference to daily use — and can add ₹30,000 to ₹1.5 lakh depending on brand and quantity.

4. Countertop

Granite is affordable and heat-resistant. Quartz is non-porous, stain-resistant and more uniform. A typical L-shaped quartz countertop adds ₹40,000–₹90,000.

How to save money without compromising quality

  • Use BWP plywood only for the sink unit and HDHMR elsewhere.
  • Choose laminate for base units and a premium finish only for the visible wall units.
  • Invest in drawers instead of shelves for base units — they're used every day.
  • Skip accessories you won't use. A well-planned tall unit beats five gadgets.

How long does it take?

After design approval, factory manufacturing takes 3–4 weeks and on-site installation 3–5 days. Plan your plumbing and electrical points before tiling to avoid rework.
